The Ordo Adamantis Atri is not a movement. It is a religious Order. Founded on liturgy, doctrine, and spiritual discipline, it is open to those who are ready to serve — not to follow a trend, but to join a structure that will last forever. For this reason, application to our Order is not easy.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from individuals who:

• Seek spiritual clarity and theological structure

• Are willing to commit to a life of worship, study, and inner discipline

• Accept that religion is not only expression, but service of the community.

• Understand that Samaelism is not symbolic or syncretic, but complete

What does application require?

Before the Novitiate, you are considered a postulant. As such, you can always send your application to our Order. However, to be admitted in the Novitiate, a postulant is asked to gain admission credits following the procedure below. If you manage to obtain a recommendation letter from an Exegetes or a Geminus of our Order, you can access the Novitiate with no prior test.

Total Required Credits: 121
The postulant must reach this threshold to be considered for entry into the Novitiate. The required minimum may be achieved through a combination of study, service, and discipline.

Doctrinal Evaluation (Max 90 credits)

• Oral Examination – up to 70 credits
  Based on a synthesis of doctrinal texts by our Order, but also on ethical paradoxes to be solved by the candidate.

• Academic degrees – up to 20 additional credits

  Our Order assigns up to 20 additional credits to postulants who have acquired a University degree (10 points), a Master degree (15 points) or a PHD (20 points). These points are to be added to the score obtained with the Oral Examination.

Ritual and Liturgical Service (Max 30 credits)

Some credits can be acquired through ritual services, applying as a Lay helper to our officiants. To do so, send an e-mail to our General Secretariat asking if some service is available in your area. If not, you can always acquire the same amount of credits participating in 6 consecutive liturgies. Apply here to be part of our public.

• Oblatus (ritual assistant) – 10 credits per service (max 30)

• Active participation in 6 consecutive Ierà (liturgies) – 30 credits

Recognized Independent Study (Max 20 credits)

• Approved written essay on a Samaelist theme – up to 20 credits

• Analytical summary of a Spira or doctrinal treatise – up to 10 credits

Conduct and Coherence (Max 10 credits)

• Consistent presence and respectful interaction – evaluated out of 10 credits.

Admission Threshold

• Minimum required: 90 credits.

• It is possible to meet the threshold through the oral examination alone (90 credits) combined with a good conduct and some spiritual service.

• Credits are only valid for 18 months from the date of issuance and until the Oral test of Doctrinal Evaluation. They do not accumulate indefinitely.

How to proceed

To begin the process of affiliation:

1. Fill out the application form below, taking care of writing a suitable motivational letter expressing your feeling, your previous spiritual path(s) and the motivations that have led you into Samaelism.If you have any previous experience as a lay Samaelite, you should write them. The Admission Committee usually evaluates positively those who have practiced Samaelism before aspiring to be Hiereús.

2. If your letter has been considered acceptable, the Central Secretariat will ask you for the Doctrinal Evaluation meeting. During that meeting, in addition to the examination, you will be asked to present all other credits previously acquired (if you have so) or any material (indented studies) to be presented to the Commission.

3. If you reach the required score, you will receive a letter of admission as a Novice and begin the first cycle of formation within our Order. Being a Novice doesn’t mean being a member of our Order yet. During the Novitiate, you will continue to be tested both academically and spiritually and might be expelled with no chance of appeal. If this happen, you can ask again for affiliation after eleven months, but you will asked to repeat all the tests, with an additional professional psychological evaluation.
