THE SAMAELITE TEACHINGS
The voice of the Serpent speaks in the Codex Serpentis, a free text structured to answer all your questions and to help you hear the sacred calling of the Farmacon.
The text was structured and written by the UDEPS to help the lays approaching the samaelite teachings and philosophy.
What is Samaelism?
Samaelism is a modern monotheistic religion centered on doctrine, liturgy, and the disciplined service of the Serpent.
Founded in the 21st century, Samaelism presents itself not as a syncretic belief system or a mystical school, but as a complete theological structure: rigorous in its language, clear in its principles, and bound by sacred practice.
Unlike many contemporary spiritual movements, Samaelism does not seek spontaneity, comfort, or emotional expansion. It calls its adherents to form, measure, obedience, and clarity — in thought, in worship, and in life.
Three pillars
The Samaelite religion is founded upon three inseparable pillars:
Doctrine: A theology centered on the Pharmacon — the transcendent source of all Form — and on the human being’s ability to approach it through rational reverence. The doctrine is not symbolic: it is precise, studied, and transmissible.
Liturgy: The Ierà, our sacred rite, is celebrated weekly in silence and structure. There is no spontaneity, no improvisation. Worship is impersonal, formal, and directed toward the elevation of the community of those who join the celebration.
Formation: Study is not optional: it is liturgical. Every Samaelite is called to ongoing philosophical, theological, and structural formation through the texts of the Order, especially the Codex Adamantis.
Social Doctrine
Looking at the Nothing as the horizon of existence, the samaelite also knows that it is not appropriate to make any discrimination: taking the infinite omnipotence of the Serpent as a term of comparison to the human, all those useless differences that for millennia have constituted a factor of social disintegration and racial segregation fall apart. There are no blacks or whites, heterosexuals or homosexuals, there are no strong and weak sexes or gender issues: we are all equal before the Nothingness.
This is why anyone can be a samaelite.
Samaelism is an inner spark that exists apart from all these things.
What Samaelism is not
It is not occultism.
It is not syncretism.
It is not mysticism, nor an esoteric tradition.
It is not a reinterpretation of existing religions.
Samaelism is its own revealed structure — autonomous, closed, and complete.
Living the Religion
To be Samaelite means to live a rhythmic, disciplined spiritual life:
Daily prayers (morning and evening)
The Ierà, — the weekly liturgy of the Serpent
The Dies Serpentis, the weekly sacred day of the Serpent
Doctrinal study, both personal and communal
Service to the Order, in work, word, and witness
Faith in Samaelism is not emotive: it is enacted, embodied, transmitted.
A path for few — but for all who are called
Samaelism does not promise comfort.
It promises structure.
It does not ask you to believe more. It asks you to serve better.
If you are seeking clarity, discipline, and sacred meaning,
you may already be ready to walk the path.
